its working again

Well, here i am again. It's been a rough month. Some small stuff. my laptop went kaput. we got the news at work that there would be layoffs in January. we had the worst snow storm here in the city in decades through Christmas Day. My daughter, Tasha, has had two ear infections and a respiratory infection for the last week, Dani and I are fighting a cold right now and to top it all off: my dad had a brain aneurysm on Dec 21st, last Sunday. And since we are having the worst winter weather here, I can't fly home to be with the family until Sunday.

Thanks for letting me vent. It's been a rough month. Did I say that already?

Today was a nice reprieve. Since my dad's accident on Sunday, I've been working long hours all week, just to stay busy and keep my mind off it. But, as a result, I overworked myself, and am now suffering from a cold. But it was nice to spend some time with Dani and Tasha. We went outside and built a snowman together. That was fun.

He is recovering from the open brain surgery well. He is still asleep now.

I am hoping to fly to see him in a couple days.
